Oh Happy Getaways Terms and Conditions

To confirm a booking at one of our Oh Happy Getaway properties, a deposit of 50% (or 100% if within 30 days of the arrival date) is required. The guest will also need to complete a rental agreement, that will be sent the same day that the booking was initiated.  The guest confirms that they have read, and agreed with, these terms and conditions.

  1. 50% of the amount is due at the time of booking.  The other 50% is due 30 days prior to check-in.  Failure to ensure that payment reaches us by the agreed date may result in the cancellation of your booking.
  2. Cancellations and refunds: 100% of our guest’s deposit is refundable if the guest cancels outside of 60 days prior to check-in.  50% of our guest’s deposit is refundable if they cancel from 30-60 days prior to check-in.  No refund is available for a guest who cancels within 30 days of check-in.
  3. We strongly recommend guests pursue travel insurance.
  4. We reserve the right to refuse any booking we consider to be unsuitable for our property.
  5. Prices are as quoted, but we reserve the right to correct any error.
  6. The payment of a 50% non-refundable deposit ensures reservation and is subject to acceptance of our terms and conditions.
  7. The balance is due 30 days before the arrival date and is non-refundable after this date. We strongly recommend checking your travel insurance to ensure you are covered for unforeseen circumstances.
  8. Several days prior to arrival, a security/damage hold will be placed on the card used for the booking. $400 for Canal Daze.  $300 for Rocky Top Escape.
  9. Security/damage deposit holds will be released within 7 days of departure, subject to inspection by Oh Happy Getaways Team Members.
  10. Check-in time is 4:00pm on the day of arrival, and Check-out is 10:00am on the day of departure. Alterations to arrival and departure times are by prior arrangement only and are not always possible.
  11. On departure, the guest will need to adhere to the check-out instructions to ensure the property is left in appropriate condition.
  12. The property will be professionally cleaned after each guest.  The standard cleaning fee will cover normal cleaning.  If extensive cleaning is required, these expenses will be charged against the security deposit hold.
  13. Please report breakages and damage as soon as possible, so that they may be replaced in time for our next guests.
  14. Your booking is only for the number of people stated on your confirmation email.  At no point should the total number of guests exceed the maximum amount of guests that the property accommodates.
  15. We regret we cannot be held responsible for interruption in services i.e. internet, electric, water. We will endeavor to do our best to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
  16. The owners shall not be liable to you or any member of your party for any loss or damage to you, your property, or vehicle, however caused. We strongly advise checking your travel insurance to make sure you are covered.
  17. The owners are not held responsible for conditions outside our control i.e. illness (including Covid19 or any variant), cancelled or delayed flights, road construction delays, restrictive weather or if you are unable to arrive at the property during the period that it is booked; again, we strongly recommend travel insurance.
  18. Oh Happy Getaways reserves the right to terminate your stay if you or members of your party are believed to be causing a disturbance or are not treating the property or our neighbors with due respect. In this event, no refund will be given for the unused portion of the stay.
  19. We respect the right to your privacy while staying in the property, but reserve the right to enter the property should this be necessary during emergencies or to carry out necessary repairs.
  20. The hot tub and other amenities are strictly “use at your own risk”.
  21. Smoking is not permitted inside any part of any of our properties.  
  22. Pets are not allowed at the Rocky Top Escape.  Up to 2 dogs are allowed at Canal Daze, only with a paid pet fee.
